Contemporary Nonstick cookware replaces Calphalons original and highly popular Professional Nonstick II line--but with improvements to make it even better. The most obvious enhancement is in the versatile rounded and flared design of the pots and pans. This design makes a single pan suitable for various cooking techniques and provides better access for pouring and stirring. Also convenient is the capacity line on these pots and pans, which helps prevent cooks from overfilling them.

This set has all the pieces necessary for daily family cooking: 8-inch and 10-inch omelet pans, 1-1/2- and 2-1/2-quart covered saucepans, and an 8-quart covered stockpot. The pans exteriors are made of hard-anodized aluminum for superior heat distribution. The interiors are coated with a nonstick surface that is resistant to peeling, chipping, flaking, or cracking. This cookware has ergonomic brushed stainless-steel handles that stay cool to the touch on the stovetop and are riveted to the pans for durability. The lids are tempered glass--for viewing food as it cooks--encircled by a stainless-steel band that complements the cookware and fits snugly into the pans.
