This is cookware for the ages. Look in any professional kitchen and you'll find gleaming stainless-steel pots and pans. Why? The material performs well, heats quickly and evenly, and is easy to clean (it can be thrown in the dishwasher with nary a worry). Cuisinart's aptly named Everyday line of cookware is durable, beautiful, and equipped with a bottom inlay of copper sandwiched between sheets of stainless steel for excellent, quick, and even heat conductivity. You'll appreciate that feature whether you're frying a quickie omelet in the 9-1/2-inch skillet or heating Alfredo sauce in the 2-quart- or 3-3/4-quart saucepans. (You'll want to keep the flame low to medium, however, to avoid burning delicate foods, as the copper inlay is extremely heat-conductive.) Lids are tight-fitting, dripless stainless steel and have wide hand grips for easy lifting. The same wide grip is adopted as a helper handle on the side of the 3-1/2-quart saut pan. The hefty 9-quart stockpot--ideal for soup or enough clams for a clambake--employs two helper handles, making transport from oven to table safer and easier.
